woman-7250713_1920

Mission

We create inclusive opportunities for artists to showcase and sell their work, providing them with exhibits, residencies, and professional development.

Our mission is to bridge the gap for emerging artists by offering them the resources needed to advance their careers. We aim to bring exhibits to the Central Virginia community that expand viewpoints and lift the voices of historically underrepresented or marginalized communities.
.
OUR VALUES: Inclusivity, Empowerment, Community Impact

Our Programs

We provide opportunities for artists to work, exhibit, and hone their skills, both artistically and professionally. Learn more about how you can be involved!

Artist Exhibit Funding

RVA Thriving Artists supports exhibits that spotlight marginalized and underrepresented artists, as well as those who challenge and expand conventional perspectives. These exhibits are designed to be engaging, immersive, and interactive, offering the community a dynamic experience. Often incorporating installation elements, the works presented may not conform to the typical commercial art space. While some pieces may be for sale, the primary focus is on fostering a deeper connection with art. Artists will receive funding to support the costs associated with their exhibits, including:
• Material costs
• Exhibit fees
• Insurance of the artwork
• Transportation of the artwork
• Travel expenses
• Advertising and PR
